Working as a blogger can be enjoyable and full of fun!! In addition, you’ll get to earn money by doing do. Assembling thoughts, words, images, video and audio together in bursts of opinion-bites allows one to share ideas, thoughts and opinions that one would have otherwise gone unheard or unseen.

Step 1 : Make people want you!! You’ll need to make yourself valuable by being functionally attractive as a blogger that benefits the potential employer.

Step 2 : Connect with opportunities. This simply means passively searching for blogging jobs or actively networking and applying for unadvertised or non-existent positions.

More on being a successful blogger.

1. Create a Blog (Chapters 2 & 3)

Follow Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 on how to create a blog. Your personal blog is a fantastic way to showcase your writing skills, flair for design and passion for blogging. To begin with, blog on a subject or more topics that you are very passionate about. Your blog is your world.

2. Learn To Write Well

Although you may be great with words, you can always improve. Learning to write effectively. By doing so, you can attract readership to your blog. Remember - you’ll also need to maintain readership loyalty.

I personally find it extremely difficult to write in a caustic, humorous style, one that is full of witty sarcasm. Frequent blogging can lead you to develop a grasp of the written words.

Employers going to scrutinize your blog and writing samples. Learning to develop a strong and creative personal style can indeed be very helpful. Use a spellchecker to finally ensure there are no spell mistakes!

3. Identify Your Niche

Identifying a niche that you are passionate about. Perhaps, gadgets, art, mobile phones, dieting, nutrition, exercise, relationships or something that appeals to you dearly to your heart? Start with something you like to do and start building a noticeable presence in the field through your personal blog. Actively participate in the industry or relevant blog community or communities.

4. Build Professional Credibility

After starting a blog you might want to start building some professional credibility by writing for the press, magazines, corporations or NGOs. You can blog for their local community/group or organization. At the on-start, forget about profitability. Showcases will gain you entry with credentials that you have experience working as a professional writer.

Furthermore, you could have a blog that primarily deals with sponsored posts, which would also show creativity by integrating corporate objectives into the overall feel or format of the blog.
